One wine that dominates in the province of Parma is the famous Lambrusco di Parma, spread throughout western Emilia, it is a red wine-dark, generous and fruity, slightly sour, with scents of violets and usually a low alcohol content of 10-11%. The varietal used here is Lambrusco Maestri from 85% to 100% and can be competed with other permitted red grapes, non aromatic, up to 15%.

The Torrechiara castle stands on the hills of Torrechiara , near Langhirano, about 18 km from Parma. Its elevated position allows him to dominate perfectly the valley where flows the Parma river, meeting point between the city and the nearby mountains .It is considered an example of the best preserved architecture of castles in Italy because it combines elements of the Middle Ages to those of the Italian Renaissance.
